This should then allow them to sleep much more soundly. If there are two parents living in the home, youll need to make sure that both of you are on board with the new sleeping plan. Otherwise, your child may try to sweet talk the more lenient parent into letting them stay up later. Also, bedtime routines are often very helpful in establishing good sleep patterns for children.
Since you need to get your kids to wind down before they can go to sleep, youll want to provide some nice, relaxing activities for them to do. Most children love having a bedtime story read to them. That is because they tend to be very stimulating, so if your child uses them around bedtime, it often will make it very difficult for them to fall asleep.
